I have a friend she tends to be nice, but, we have nothing in common. When we talk on the phone the only thing we have to talk about is me because, she does not do anything, but be around old people all day. She does not have a boyfriend, or kids. She does not even live by herself, and she is 27. She is still a virgin, and is quick to tell what a person suppose be like in a marriage and relationship, when frankly she does not have a clue.On the other hand I am married and have kids, and she does really care for kids that much. When she calls it seems that she more concern about finding out my business. She does not tell me anything, which she probaly don't have anything to tell to begin with. She is really a good friend but, is noisy as hell and I don't want to be mean torwards her when she is asking me something personnel. I could just say you are being real nosy, but she waits until we are in a deep conversation and then catches me off guard. Someone tell me what to do?

When she asks you something personal pause for a second like you're thinking about it. That will take her off guard. If you don't want to answer, change the subject. Ask her something personal. There has to be a reason why she is your friend. Find something in common with her. Movies, tv shows, colors, anything. Don't let her do all the talking or asking questions. If none these suggestions work, simply tell her the truth in the nicest way possible. Hope this helps.

She sounds like a very insecure person. I think it is nice of you to befriend someone who obviously does not know how to have a life. She is living through you. She probably wants all the things you have: a family and kids and a life. She does not know how ,so maybe you could steer her to somethings you think she might like to do. You might want to do some of them with her. After a while she might meet some new people and then she won't bother you so much. As for her asking you your personal business, tell her you don't wish to talk about certain things. If she keeps asking, play like you did not hear her and change the subject.

Looks like to me that your friend has nothing to do in her spare time. I'm not trying to be rude or anything- and I don't even know your friend- but she needs to keep herself busy. When you guys are having a conversation, make sure that she does NOT catch you off guard. Your personal life is none of her business and you need to be very clear to her about that. Tell her everything that is on your mind and don't hold anything back. Choose your words carefully but say them in a firm tone. Hopefully, she will understand. Good luck.

Sometimes we need to just move on to different friendships. Leave this one in the past. You may not think she has any business, but your business might be hers and she might be telling your business as hers. Just leave her alone and find a friend with more in common. Use your call waiting to screen your calls and don't answer hers anymore.

ditch her and tell her to get a life - some people just need a wake up call. The only way to deal with these people is to be honest.

I don't think the definition of being a good friend (as you say she is) is lecturing people with unsolicited advice. Especially when she has no life experience to back it. Follow your instincts and back away from her.
