Microsoft, around the end of 1999. They had a stock price of 119. Taking into account the 2:1 split, that's around 2.6x the price of today. It's probably slightly lower since not as many cashed options and outstanding shares back then, but 2.6 x 232B (today's market cap) =~ 600B.

I would check Microsoft back in 1999-2000. I think GE is the current leader.

You are correct. XOM is today's leader about 380 billion.
