I'm looking for a tool that will tell me what other domain names are owned by the webmaster of a site. for example, if i knew one domain name which they owned or the name of the owner i could enter this and it would refer me to the others.

hope that makes sense

When people register websites, they make an account with a registrar. Multiple names can be registered at once, they can do so using one account. They can create an account for each and every domain they purchase. Every account registered with a registrar is called a "NIC Handle"

NIC Handle definition link: http://www.networksolutions.com/glossary/glossary-n.jsp#nichandle

How you find out this handle for any site, is by using a "WHOIS" search.

Here are a couple links of my favorite whois search engines:

http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp
http://whois.domaintools.com/

WHOIS searches only require domain.xxx (not www.domain.xxx).

Here is an interesting link of a whois search on myspace.com
http://whois.domaintools.com/myspace.com

In this search, you can see all of the most popular other sites that are assosicated with myspace.com that have been registered with that same NIC Handle.

Domains can also be transfered to another NIC handle.

Stealth Domains (Private Information).

For years, and getting more popular now is hiding personal information with a private company, such as Domains By Proxy Inc ( http://domainsbyproxy.com ), an affliate company of http://www.godaddy.com . Domains By Proxy lets you store your personal information (required by law) of the true owner of the website, and they will show their name as Registrar, and you can control any & all communication going through your website, example: example.com@domainsbyproxy.com -- that email is forwarded so example.com's email. And if by chance someone wants to sue you, or you violate some law that requires your information to be turned over by court order, Domains By Proxy would turn over your information. So privacy is only good for people snooping where they shouldn't be. I'm sure there are other privacy domains out there willing to hide your information, but Domains By Proxy is the only one I've seen from searches I've performed over the past 5 years.

No way... Domains can be registered at different registrars, under different aliases, and might be done anonymously.

There is no way to track this!
