Zizou told an interviewer that he would come forward and talk about what happened in a few days, as soon as he felt comfortable with it. His agent has said, "[Zidane] told me Materazzi said something very serious to him but he wouldn't tell me what." He also told reporters that Zidane planned to speak out about the incident."

Yes he will issue a statement and it wouldn't serve in his best interest not to say anything at all. He has nothing to lose at this stage and everything to gain since there is so much speculation going on about that incident and he is looking like the bad guy, he has a reputation on the line and I'm sure his fans would like to hear his side of it too!!

he will probably make a statement in a few days once it starts to pass over a bit. the rumors are kind of settled now, his agent said in a press release that it was indeed comments about his sister. in the coming days zidane will tell it himself

well, rumor has it that the italian guy said he slept with his mother and called her an algerian whore. That was such bad timing because his mother, who he dearly cares for, was taken to hospital on that very day. Personally, I would have done more than headbutted him...
I do want to hear his version though...
