Take an empty shoe box with lid, rip two corners of the lid at one narrow end. Cover the mouse with the shoe box. Slide the lid under the box, scooping up the mouse, starting with the lid where the corners have been ripped (and which will now be flat.) Flip the box over once the dead mouse has been contained. Proceed immediately to trash, and throw the whole enterprise away.

Works for all dead animals, and even small live ones you may wish to remove - such as toads or snakes. Good luck.

Get 2 large shovels and a broom. Use the broom to move the toys away. Use the 2 large shovels to pick up the mouse and throw it in the trash. I'm also phobic of dead animals and I did this when there was a dead bird in my backyard.

Sweep it up into a dust pan, dump it into a plastic grocery bag, and toss it into the trash. Then with garage door closed, spray a strong scented air freshner.
