All women are beautiful. Each in her own unique way.

Of course!

Standards of beauty differ all over the world. In Europe and North America, thin is in. I myself weigh around 117 pounds and while my weight is considered ok in Europe, when I visit the Middle East, I'm constantly told I'm too thin and I'd be so much prettier if I gained some weight!

Beauty isn't just about being thin- it's also about having even facial features, nice skin, healthy hair, etc. Sometimes women obsess so much about being thin, they don't eat right and that affects everything mentioned above in a negative way.

Beauty is also about carrying yourself well and being confident. I know many overweight women who are beautiful because they have a certain sparkle and confidence that makes them alluring.

Well beauty comes from within but I have seen some that doesn't dress well or take care of them selfs. But skinny is to skinny. And all shapes and size don't dress well sometimes. So answer yes beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

A woman - yes. Many women are built such that they are very beautiful even though they are heavyset. Me - no. I don't look good fat at all. I don't gain evenly all over - it goes to a few select spots, so I have skinny legs and skinny arms and a big tummy and booty. Not pretty, so I have to keep it in check.

Absolutely... just because society views body size and shape in a very narrow definition of "beautiful" doesn't mean that a woman who doesn't weigh 100 lbs. is not beautiful. After all, it's what's inside that counts, not what you look like (even in our body-obsessed world today).

yes! beauty comes from the inside, not the outside. some people say you have to be skinny to be beautiful, but you don't. a lot of my friends think they are fat even though they aren't, and i always tell them they aren't fat, they just think they are fat because the media tells us that we have to be skinny to be beautiful, which is a big fat LIE! many girls and women think they are fat, and most of them aren't. beauty comes from the inside, not the outside. yes, you can be beautiful, even if you are "fat" =)

Yes, sure. But is beauty the most important thing? If you would like a long healthy life then it's important to keep off excess weight. Being overweight can lead to about every ailment possible. Beauty is nice, but being healthy is the most important thing.

Of course! I have seen many people who were, like, obese and they were beautiful and popular at school. But I think beauty is confidence about the way you look no matter what shape or size.

Some women can be bigger naturally and beautiful. But when it gets to a point of grotesque obesity then I say that some beauty comes with being a little skinnier.

Of course we can. I am 40 yrs. old and I weigh 265 lbs. I've always been heavy but I think because of my attitude about myself, I've always had boyfriends and my husband of 8 yrs. tells me everyday how beautiful I am, how lucky he is to have me, how much he loves me and he's always touching me in some way. I had body image issues when I was younger but then I realized I'm attractive just the way I am and when a person has that kind of confidence it shows and people respond to it.
