I just went to see this movie. I was impressed, and almost hypnotized by Johnny Depp's intense, slightly androgenous character. Many people complain that Johnny Depp is a sissy, and not strong enough for the lead role, and not worthy of Elizabeth. What do you think?

Not worth of Elizabeth? No shes just a better fit with Will- Jack needs a more eccentric character to hold his interest. IMHO

He rocked!!! I laughed at his character, he did a very good job acting like Jack Sparrow!!! And he is not a sissy and he is strong enough for the lead role, have you seen this man act in other movies??? He brings out the life in every character he has ever acted as!!! He's good... And he is worthy of Elizabeth, through out the whole movie I was waiting for them to kiss! And they did!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^,^

It was great! I think the first movie may have been a slightly better
film but this one is funnier.
Funny thing about the first one. Before I knew he had based his character on The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards , I turned to mt GF and said "He's doing Keith!" Later, of course, it was revealed and Keith is to begin a week of shooting in September to play Jack Sparrow's dad.
In any case, it is a great film. I highly recommend it to anyone and can't wait for the next one. (Wish I had stock in Disney now!)

what can i say...he's AMAZING!!! he's totally worthy of elizabeth, but elizabeth isnt worthy of him!!!!! he and orlando hold that whole movie together!!!!!!! elizabeth swan just messed up the movie by what she did to jack...she was being a true pirate!! depp is NOT a sissy, but he makes his character seem like he is...but he could take down anyone with his acting any day!!! am i right?

I like this movie, and Johnny Depp's character, although to me he comes across a drunk gay guy. I think he's funny: wants to be a pirate but he's not a violent person.

I felt he did a good job, making Jack more twitchy and addled, while adding a layer of deception and cruelty.
