i was recently on the depo shot for almost 3 years does any one know how long it might take to become pregnant or anything extra i can do

The depo shot is really bad, it might take you around a year to concieve. There has been cases where the woman gets pregnant shortly after the shot but the mayority of them take forever to get pregnant. I agree with the lady who suggested you to drink lots of water and maybe if you take prenatal vitamins right now!! I mean go and buy them right now and start taking them, they will help your reproductive system work faster and better. Good luck.

My friend got pregnant the month she stopped depo. I don't think you have to do anything or can do anything special!
Just monitor your body and check for signs of ovulation.
If you start having your period again right away, that's a good sign that you're once again fertile!

It isn't unusual for it to take over a year for fertility to return after stopping depo. I would call the dr. if your period hasn't returned in about 6 months.

My friend got pregnant after being off the shot for just 30 days. Good luck! :) Everyone's body is different... drinking lots of water helps flush out your system, if you wanted to try and get it out sooner. :)

i had a I.U.D. (not hormonal) for five years. alot of people told me it could take up to a year for your cycle to return to normal. i have been trying also good luck!
p.s. take prenatal vitamins it will help and it makes you nails and hair stronger!
