My period is very heavy with large blood clots and also my period lasts 7 to 8 days, I get so tired of it, it wears me out. I go through at least 1 1/2 boxes of tampons and a pack of pads which I have to wear at the same time, because if I don't my tampon will be so full I will bleed all over my panties within no time. Help me please.

Well I have a couple of concerns..I work with women with this problem everyday...First the heavy bleeding..and how many pads and such you are using..have you been diagnosed with fibroids?..also you are saying that you are tired..which makes me think you may be anemic..both are concerning..you need to see a doctor ASAP or maybe a ER..I have seen women with critical anemia's from heavy menstrual periods..and if you are not anemic then at least find out why you are having such horrible heavy periods...there are so many treatments today that can help you..there is no need to suffer anymore..good luck..

You don't say how old you are...but the same thing was happening to me. I use to have normal periods all my life only lasted 2 to 3 days very light...Then I turned 40...it seemed to me Menopause. The doctors told me I was too young. Well here I have gone 11 months without a period. After 5 years of the exact same symptoms you describe.

really you should see your doctor. Long period can depend on a person or a number of medical reasons. You can regulate your periode by takeing birth control pills for example also the clots would sugest dried blood in your period you should use a doush to clean your self out to be safe. Hope this helps

Go and see a OB/GYN Dr. Maybe you have a problem that needs correcting. I can understand that amount of blood loss is going to tire a person out. When you are passing clots like you say it is better to be checked out.

Some people have naturally heavy periods. But being this heavy seems a bit odd. You should get it checked by a doctor. Maybe it's normal for you.

I would consider birth control. It made my periods a lot lighter and now I know exactly when I will start. Talk to your doctor about it.
