Must you endure love first to feel pain, or must you endure pain to feel love?

You must have the capacity to love in order to feel pain, because love is caring and if you don't care about anything, you won't feel pain - you are oblivious and numb to it. For example, Sociopaths can't relate to anyone's pain, because they don't care and they don't feel any pain, because again, they don't care.
