Well, to change the wallpaper to something else, first you left click on the "start" menu, on the bottom right hand of your screen.
Then you left click the "control panel" icon.
Then you left click the "Appearance and themes" icon.
Then you left click the " change the desktop setting" button.
There's a long list of possible backgrounds there, including none, or you can "customize" the desktop with some other picture that you like.
To delete the wallpaper, you'll need to find where that particular option is. The wallpaper that your computer is using will be highligted in blue on the list of possible backgrounds. Write down that exact file name,
Left click the start menu again, click on "search" and select picture files, and type in the file name of the wallpaper you want to delete. Your computer will usually find it somewhere in the "My Pictures" folder, the "Temp Folder."
Sometimes it will be in a system file, or a hidden file, and it will not show up. If that happens, tell it to search hidden, and system files, or to search all file types. Then you should see it, and you can delete it like most any other file. Note that even if you delete the file, you'll usually have to change the background to something else before you can get the picture itself off of the bacground. Creepy!
If you want to delete all the wallpaper options, such as the stupid things that Microsoft gives you, you're in for a great surprise. They're like the sample pictures, and have a tendency to reappear. That sneaky Bill Gates...

wallpaper is just going to be a picture, so try and find the file on your computer (try My Pictures?). Then, just delete. If you are trying to delete a wallpaper that came with Windows, i am not sure where the files are to delete them. Try searching the computer for the name of the wallpaper, then deleting it once you found it.
