No. Right now China has stepped up to the plate and taken leadership of the diplomacy efforts.

♡Nope, I don't think that Japan is 'stupid enuf to make a pre-emptive strike against North Korea.' Do you?!? Japan probably wants to leave that move up to the USA!(*^o^*) I'm an American living in Japan and I haven't heard any such news.♡

LOL. That is one of the funniest things I have ever heard. Japan and what army? They have a standing army of around 30,000 troops dating back to treaties signed after WW2. North Korea's standing army is hovering around 1 million with another million in reserves. If Japan were to attack then Japan's army would be run over by the time the US could even draw up a declaration of war. To answer the actual question, no nobody would ever be stupid enough to think 30,000 troops could take on one million.

Highly doubtful. It would violate Japan's constitution, and would outrage the populace. Since the end of WWII, Japan has been centered on a policy of pacifism, and they leave the heavy lifting to the USA. The simple act of sending military to Iraq for a non combat mission generated quite a bit controversy. Attacking North Korea is waaaaaaaay over the top for them.

Absolutely NOT!!
But I think that YOU are "stupid enuf" to believe such cobblers!! It's that warmonger Bush who's making threats - your confusion probably stems from the fact that America has huge military bases in both Japan and South Korea.

Granted, if North Korea does have nuclear guns like it says it does, Japan ought to have the excellence of being the in ordinary words us of a contained in the international to get attacked by employing atomic/nuclear guns no longer once yet two times. yet, a minimum of, that ends the waiting round to be sure if there is going to be a WW-III.

Technically speaking, the Japanese military is called the "Self-Defense Forces." That means just that. They can constitutionally only use their military for self defense purposes.
