all people in this world are different, each person has her/his own qualities and less strong points. Sometimes certain people are more successfull in doing or achieving things than others. That can arouse jealousy.
Yet, is there any need for jealousy? If you accept who you are, and what your own strong and weak points are, you don't need to compare yourself in an unhealthy way with others. So, if you invest in your own self-esteem and value your own achievements independently of what others do, you need not be jealous.
Another argument can be, that being jealous won't help anything. It arouses negative feelings towards others and yourself, and is very likely to get you in trouble with other people.

Well the source of jealousy is because the
person is inscure about themself. And then
they see that you have self cofidence and
feel good about yourself. I have been in a
realationship with a jealous man. It has taken
8 years to calm him down but talking feelings
out is the best way. If the realationship is worth
it work on it talk about it.

Well, if you want to go about it in a less-healthy sort of way, you could stalk whoever you are jealous of. I wouldn't recommend it though.
Don't try revenge. It's often too expensive.
I would, however, recommend honesty with either the person you are becoming jealous of (if it is relationship-oriented) or perhaps sharing your feelings with a close friend or confidant.
Just don't wig out.

By accepting the fact that you can't always get what you want. And that just because someone has something you don't, doesn't mean your any less of a person. It's just something to work on.

I feel that when I am ticked off and mad for some jealous reason, that I feel better after I've had a nap. Beer helps too, in conjunction with a 'screw it all' attitude.
