Why do some people waste time getting on the interstate to go down one exit?

instead of just staying on the service road?

Because they fear that they're going to hit a bunch of lights if they go on surface streets... that or they don't know the service streets. Simply put: they're stupid.

I do it to miss lights, it is ALOT faster then sitting through a light that has lots of cars. I guess just laziness.
