About why your doctor may not have taken care of this (though you should definitely ask him, insurance or not), If he didn't know what it was, then removing it might cause more damage than leaving it there. There's always risk with removing thing like that because it's an invasive procedure. If it's not causing you any problems, then it's better to let it be than to risk your health removing something that doesn't absolutely need to be removed. Go to a free clinic in your area and ask their advice on what it might be. It's something that you should at least keep your eye on. If you start to feel any pain or notice any differences in your menstrual cycles or anything like that, you should go to a doctor immediately and tell him about the black spot. Also, at free or low-cost clinics, they can give you more information about insurance options.

Have you tried to reapply for medicaid?

Find the free clinic in your area. The one here has a program for special medical care as well. Tell them your situation and see if they can help you.
