Ask them if they are having a good day! Then tell them all about yours, That your day started off by oversleeping...If your female you can tell them you got the monthly curse...Oh gosh the list goes on and on!! And for junk mail you get....Tear it into small pieces and mail it back to them,(if they sent a reply envelope) or write return to sender on it, a couple of times of gettin their junk back, they will stop...Trust me!!

Then simply put the phone down and walk away for about 10 minutes.
They will usually leave you alone after that.

Let them finish their spill to you and then you say "that sounds interesting, give me your home number and I'll call YOU when i decide. They'll usually hang up !

My dad used to ask them where they were from and talk to them about the weather and then ask them to call again. Then he would say "I love you"-our telemarketing calls went down substantially.
