On the way home to visit my parents very late one night i was driving tired and through the south downs in light fog i saw what i believed to be figures of an old woman several times in the road every few miles appearing right in front of the car making me brake before dissapearing as i hit them, after driving quite a while of driving very slowley in fear i decided to get a grip of myself and increase my speed a little once again. Then another appeared, this time not go away and as i hit it i was treated to a very loud bang so i braked heavily and remained in the car sweating and shaking for some time before having the courage to leave the car. on leaving the car i saw very bad damage to the front and frightened as to what i might find walked back up the road to check. after a long walk i almost gave up but then saw the body of a deer, although i would never want to hurt a deer i fellt an amount of relief to see that it wasn't a human casualty and that my strange sights were just my eyes playing tricks but as i looked up at the road the figure was there once again appearing to be getting closer, in panic i ran back to my car and after using almost super human strength pulled the bits of bent wing away from the wheel before driving away. i cancelled the trip drove straight home and didn't sleep or go to work for about a week. nobody knows. i still think about it now, it all seemed very real and just typing it now sends shivers down my spine. Scary enough? It is for me!

After working in a moldy basement office, we finally went out to run. I ran 3/4 mile and started coughing and hacking... I thought I was getting sick w/allergies or something. I slowed down because I HAD to... I barely finished the next 3/4 mile (it was 1.5 miles total) by walking. When I got home my wife asked me to carry the laundry basket upstairs. I still hadn't caught my breath and could barely take 2 steps without feeling like I was going to die. I went in to the ER. They tried telling me I had asthma and to blow into a tube. I passed the test. My wife (a former medic) knew something was wrong and told the doc to request a baseline chest x-ray. They found a hole in my lung. Next thing you know I'm in ICU with docs, a preacher, and people telling me they're waiting for my lung to collapse so they could stab me in the chest to re-inflate it, that I had air near my heart and that if it goes through the heart's protective sack I'd die. I started telling my wife where I hid the Christmas presents... To give you an idea of how much pain it was- the morphine they were giving me took the edge off, but wore off WAY too soon. I prayed... after a few days they realized I was one in a million- my lung didn't collapse and eventually it healed on its own. Yeah, that's my latest intense near death story in brief... pretty scary and painful!

I was drowning in sea and currents were taking me out of the bay i was in, so i was very near exhaustion by the time another current took me inside the bay.
When i hit the beach again i was panting like a long distance runner dog for like 10 minutes.

I was on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem in 1982 an hour before an Israeli soldier started shooting people at random. Horrible day.
