It was winter. As earth parked in Sol's orbit, due to gravity, and started to spin, different portions of Earth experienced variations in temperature. Certainly not the 4 seasons as we know today. But back to your original question, it was a cold start.

The seasons are caused by the tilt of the earth on its axis. The tilt affects the amount and directness of the sun's rays on various parts of the earth as it makes its orbit around the sun.
Early earth was a very different place from today's earth, and it is theorized that the earth was not always tilted as it is now. So, to answer your question, it was a hostile place without seasons as we now know them.
"Luke Dones & Scott Tremaine argue that the spins of the four inner planets were probably determined by impacts with a few large bodies while the planets were being formed by the accretion of planetesimals. Gerrit Verschuur speculates that during the earth's formation, a large neighbour, about the size of Mars, slammed headlong into the proto-earth, shaking it from pole to pole, and smashing it sideways so that after the chaos had subsided its axis was tilted. 'Some of the debris from that awesome planet-shaking impact blew outward and was slowed by the planet's gravitational pull to be trapped in orbit to gather into what would someday be called the moon.' Around the same time, similar impacts between protoplanets and objects in nearby orbits allegedly occurred throughout the solar system. "

It took millions of years for the earth to form, not just a season or day.

It was autumn. Look at all the red, yellow, and brown colors everywhere... just like autumn. It had been hot but was cooling down, just like autumn. Then, the earth tackled Theia, stripped the ball and spiked it, forming the moon, just like in American Football... which is in autumn.
See? All scientific like.

seasons as we know them now did not exist
there was no ocean or atmosphere (at least like we have now) or plants
it was probably much colder during the night and much warmer during the day and there were seasonal fluctuations in temp based on the axis tilt but I don't think there were recognizable seasons

quite except the very much altered bible and the lifeless sea scrolls(that were also tampered with). there is quite no actually valid historic documentation that the Jesus of the bible even existed in any respect. similar is going for just about anybody else in the bible except for Herod the great, Pilot, and probably some others that do not surely count. Jesus became surely an common call decrease back in the day 2,000 years in the past.

in what hemisphere? you would have to specify because of earth's 23.5 degree axial tilt (the tilt causes opposite seasons in the north and south hemispheres).at that time, earth would've also possibly not had a tilt at that time, so it wouldn't be a season.

Very analytical question, one that I do not know the answer to. If I had to guess I would say... spring so that the plants would have time to grow. I'm not sure, I believe in creation by God

If you count when it still a star with fire all over, of course extra hot summer, but if you count when the living creature begin to be able to exist in it, its a long long winter (not only snowing one but its icying one.

I believe that it was summer because they say that Earth was created and it was full of volcanoes, explosions, magma, and lava. It was also very hot.
