how long would you stay on the phone. My daughter said she prank called her friend and he stayed on the phone for a half an hour. I wouldn't even talk for a minute.

LOL! Didn't we all prank someone when we were kids? quick way to solve this problem and put the fear of god in them is to keep the prankster on the line for a couple minutes. Then tell them that your wife/husband/mom/dad (whoever) called the police using their cellphone and gave them the pranksters number! That'll freak them out! LOL! Make them sit on the edge of their seat for a few days. Cause it's usually kids that do the pranking. And they are pretty niave. Oh, I'm sure they will tell thier friends that they aren't scared and all that hoopla, but deep down inside....they'll be scared to bits.

I will answer and then put the phone down. They will get bored and hang up eventually. Not really any fun for them to listen to silence and if they hang up to try and call back the phone is busy.
Needless to say prank calls are pretty rare in my house :)

kids like to play along, but as adults we are too busy and don't have the patience for prank calls. I'd probably stay on about 2 minutes.

As a kid I loved giving and recieving prank calls. But as an adult, I have neither the time or patience, so I just hang up as soon as I realize it's a prank.

It happens to me at work all the time. I say hello and don't say another word. After a few seconds they hang up. I think it freaks them out when I turn the tables on them...I don't understand why anyone would want to carry out a half an hour convo with a strange person on the line.

Does your daughter's friend have caller ID? He may have known it was her and got a kick out of it!
I wouldn't stay on past "What are you wearing". Well... unless it was my boyfriend, but then it wouldn't be a prank call.....

depends how bored i am and if its my cell phone or house phone cause minutes cost money i like a good prank and i like to mess with the poranker so its always fun

when/if i do prank calls, i make them believeable...create a whole story and everything. so even if the other person knows it's a prank, it's still entertaining.

It depends on what kind of mood I was in, also what kind of prank call it was. If it was just silence...I would hang up, but if there was talking or noises involved, I would probably hang out for awhile.

1. Your daughter's friend most likely knew it was her. That is the reason why most people would stay on that long.
2. I don't pick up block, restricted or unknown numbers.
