Hitler was a savage dictator who killed, tortured, and imprisoned millions of people (including jewish people, but not solely jewish people). This is something totally unacceptable and all possible steps must be done to avoid it being repeated again.

So, why does Israel badly treat the Palestinian people? I think when I get abused by someone this should be a motive for me to know how bitter the feeling of abuse is and thus to never think about abusing others. I know many American people out there in Yahoo! Answers are more Israeli than the Israeli people themselves (ironically, the equation here is: most Americans think Arabs are terrorists; most Americans believe Arabs and Israelis are enemies; so most Americans are biased in favor of Israelis and against Arabs). I already know this and also know that any question against Israel is quickly "reported" and removed. But I want you to be brave enough to answer logically and persuasively instead of just complaining like silly kids do!

No I don't feel bad, cause I put an end to it RIGHT now. And I explain to the child this is not how we treat the animal.. Nice to the "kitty" oh no don't hurt the kitty, the kitty is so scared. I make them see how they wouldn't like to be hurt. So many people will say, oh the kitty will hurt you, and the child will be thats all right or BAD KITTY. But I am like YOU wouldn't want to hurt the kitty or make it cry wouldn't want to hurt the kitty and make it cry thats not nice. See this is how we do it. I have no idea why parents don't see EVERY thing new as a way to teach their children. If that child goes back there I would say NO don't go in that room and give a stern look. I would pretty much want the child to learn respect for creatures, peoples homes and my stuff, and if the parent won't teach it, I will especially in my own home. I would walk the parent back to the back room and stand in front of the door and talk to the mother while I got the childs hand away from the door knob, No excuses this is your home, your pets, your child you are protecting. No excuses. This is how we act in my home with my stuff, and show them and smile but firm. EOS

How well have you researched Israeli history since the holocaust? The Arabs have attacked more than once, and well, the Palestinians have been doing the suicide-bomber thing a little too eagerly. The Israelis have mistreated the Palestinians? Why not ask why the other Arabs have treated the Lebanese as the thrall population of a puppet state!

Why does Israel treat the Palestinians so badly?
Every attempt that Israel has made to coexist with its neighbours since 1948 is met with violence.
The Palestinians view towards Israel is summarized in the 3 NOs. No negotiations. No land. No peace.
Its surprising that the Israelis are as restrained as they are.

If you make concessions to terrorists then you have given them a victory and they are emboldened. If you offer to negotiate but their only negotiating position is that that you must be destroyed then that route is lost. The only successful means of communicating is hitting them back 10x harder than they hit you. This way they learn to respect you and think twice about kidnapping your citizens as a token for prisoner exchange. Of course not all Palestinians are terrorists but their government is a terrorist organization and they still launch indiscriminate attacks on innocent Israeli settlements - there are almost daily rocket attacks. Maybe its bettered to have a crisis which can be resolved quickly rather than a long drawn out guerrilla war.

Well, the whole situation is a bit more than two kids in the back seat, each yelling mom, he hit me first!

I think allot of this has to do with the very real fact that every country touching Israel wants them dead. No if and or buts about it, it's a fight for survival. So much so it makes it hard to cut anyone any slack or show any weakness. It's allot easier to turn the other cheek when the wolves aren't behind you waiting for a flash of your neck.

The problem is that violence in the Middle East is a vicios circle. Palestinians are also killing innocent Israelis whoi then retaliate. Then the Palestinians retaliate and so on and so forth. Unfortunately.

Wouldn't you punch someone if they punched you? Or would you just sit there and cry.
