well it seems as if you have a problem one of the most looked over are the plugs and wires they are to old lincoln town car is pretty easy alot of times it could be the ignition control module as well as a timing or a feul problem if you make sure there is adequate feul and spark than only thing left would be timing chain and geargood luck

Make sure you are getting spark at the plugs by removing one of the spark pugs and lay it against a bare metal area while someone turns the engine over and you should see a spark jumping across the gap on the plug. If you have spark then put a fuel pressure gauge (one can be bought at any large parts store) on the fuel injection rails schrader valve (it look like a tire valve) it may have a screw on cap on it and turn the ignition on there should be at least 60 psi showing or more,if not then check the pressure at the pump fitting which should be near the fuel tank, If you get no or low pressure there then the fuel pump is bad and will have to be replaced.THE PUMP IS IN THE TANK. If you have pressure at that point or at the fuel injection rail fitting the pump is ok.at that point I would pull the distributor cap and the number one spark plug and bring the number one cylinder up one the compression stroke by hand with a socket and breaker bar/ratchet on the crankshaft pulley bolt (FEEL FOR AIR COMING OUT OF THE SPARK PLUG HOLE BY PUTTING YOUR FINGER OVER IT) then check and see if the ignition rotor is pointing to the number one terminal on the distributor cap.If it is way off (MORE THAN A COUPLE OF INCHES) then the timing chain has jumped it's gears and the motor will have to come apart for major repairs.(TIMING CHAIN AND GEARS) at the very least a complete overhaul at the most.

Sounds like something in the electronic ignition. Without having the car looked at it can be hard to tell. Too many other things could cause the problem also, from a relay to the fuel pump. Best thing to do is get the car looked at.

There are many things that could be going on as to why it wont start. The basic three things a engine needs to start is:
Is it getting fuel?
Is there fire present at the spark plugs?
Does it have good compression?
and with the many electronic components and sensors on that model year, It is hard to really say what the problem is. If you are mechanically inclined, start doing diagonsis one at a time. If not, have a reputable mechanic look at it.

there are way to many possibilites of why your car wont start. does it have spark , fuel,? find out what you are missing than go from there. if you dont know how to check these things than it is way past your capabilies of diagnostics.
p.s. integra, they said it turns over so why would it be the stater, and have you ever seen an altenator cause a car not to start?. if your not sure, dont answer. theyre asking for help not guesses

If you want to check for spark, and dont know, the best way is to spray some starting fluid into the air intake, if it tries to start, then its a fuel problem.

sounds to me like you have a busted timing chain or belt..check and see if your getting spark and fuel if your getting spark then check fuel if your getting that then check and see if your camshaft is turning by removing the distributor cap and see if the rotor moves around
