No, getting to the Super Bowl is a reach, but they might make the playoffs this year (a big might). It will be a big fight between San Diego and KC for 2nd in the AFC West. They have a potent running game (probably the best in the NFL), Trent Green is very solid, but after Kennison their wide-outs are suspect. Having a great TE in Gonzales helps a plenty. Defense is still a major weak spot for this team, that's why they will struggle to make the playoffs, I think it will come down between the Chiefs and the Chargers the 6th seed at 10-6. They will be fortunate to win a playoff game... if they make it. But winning Super Bowl 41 is out of the question. If I had to choose a favorite out of the AFC; I'd say Pittsburgh, much as it pains me to say that.... (but my heart is with the New England Patriots)

Well Kansas City is going to have a VERY powerful running game, and that could potentially lead to a great season and possibly playoff success. If they can get over the three humps that are Cincinati, Indy, and Denver...they'd be my 4th choice for the AFC team to get there. It can happen for sure...but it might not be very likely.
I think that if Carolina doesn't win it for the NFC...not many of the other teams look as good on paper to beat Denver...but we've learned over and over that paper means nothing on the field, so we'll see.
I'm gonna pick Carolina or Denver winning it as of now.

Let everybody blast away and say they suck and are losers and that their team will do it. The Chiefs will show improvement in all facets of the game this year. Their offense is already unstoppable as we all well know. Just a little improvement here and there on defense and special teams and they'll have the ring again finally after 36 years. Their time has come!

the Chiefs have as much a chance of winning the Super Bowl this Year as T.O has of staying out of the headlines.

Playoff yes, because of a defensive minded coach and Larry Johnson, but I think some of the age will catch up with this team and a key injury in any one of several spots (including QB) could destroy a playoff/superbowl run.

I am not a Herm Edwards fan.
I think he made poor decisions in NY and will continue to make poor decisions in a more competitive division.
I particularly fault Edwards for his devotion to Pennington, poor drafting, and poor strategic management of the team.
If not them then who? Broncos
I also am not a fan of under-performer Trent Green.
SB? No way. I see KC going the opposite direction.

Well, it's going to be really hard for any other team in the AFC to make it to the Super Bowl when everyone knows the PITTSBURGH STEELERS are going to repeat! GO STEELERS!
