in michigan we have "school of choice" meaning that your child can go to any school you choose, even out of your own district, as long as you provide your own transportation. I would switch to a different district. however, if i didnt have this option i would definitely look into a private school.

I have training in the education field so I would first consider homeschooling. If this wasn't a viable option because of other responsibilities, I would most definitely consider a private school. They can be expensive, but I think that they are well worth it to help secure a successful future for your child. I would consider looking into a Montessori school.

Private schools aren't any better than public schools. The kids are just as mean and get this: We paid over $2000 a month for our kids to go to a private school and in 4th grade they didn't even know their times tables. Not because they had learning disabilities (They are straight A students), it's just the teachers didn't care or not if they were caught up. I would definately homeschool if I were you (we homeschool now).

I faced that problem back in the late 90's with my daughter's school. I had to annie up some hard earned cash and do without some luxuries to put her in a private school. It was worth every penny. You cannot put a $ on a child's education. Pay now and let them become self sufficient or give them $ the rest of their lives so they can pay the bills.

Well if you are like me (lives in a small town) then there is only one choice for school. There is a private school that centers around religion that is around here though. I guess if you think it is sub-par then you need to consider taking them somewhere else. Their future depends on it. Look around and ask other parents as well.

File complaints with the district central office, and the state Department of Education.
Be there, demand explanations for programming, and how the school is working to improve my child's education.

I knew my school was under par with its education, and so did my parents. I just said f*ck it, dropped out. I would rather learn my mistakes in life by actual experiences. I dont think I'm doing too bad. Working for a patent research company.

keep on their backs untill u get a reply that you are satisified with.
if that is not working asked to be moved to a new school or if home school is an option it should be the last resort as kids NEED to socialise

technology ought to study in technology classes, not ideologies. faith ought to study in classes that are about faith, yet with none favoritism shown in the route of anybody of them. If an atheist taught that type and suggested, "those are all stupid and incorrect" then he's in the incorrect. i imagine atheist scientists should be being employed, although, yet on condition that they don't say stuff like "See how this makes God superfluous?" We purely opt to teach little ones a thanks to do technology, and what technology says about stuff and go away some thing to their churches to attend to even as they study the earth isn't 6000 years old.
