One of my very dear friends was a model for a while, until she got pregnant and became a stay at home mom.
She liked it a lot a first...lot's of travel, cool clothes, etc. But she hated that she had to really closely watch what she ate, because you can be denied a job for being just 2 lbs over weight. She also complained about the early and or late hours and people constantly messing with her hair/face/body. Oh, and she said some of the directors (or what ever you call them) were right pricks and the other girls can be quite vicious. She said a girl put visine in her water, to make he sick, so that girl could be the lead model in this one show.
She made really good money for a little over a year, but ultimately, she choose a family instead.
Best of luck to you.

Yes, it is extremely stressful. Don't you watch the American's next top models and Janice Dickinson's modeling agency? But it is a fun and adventurous job.

yes. It is hard to keep up the image and the body at a certain age. It is also easier to go around looking like a slob than it is to look beautiful. It takes effort to be exceptionally beautiful everyday

yeah, i think it is.
you need to watch what you eat, exercise a lot, be able to take criticism, have lots of self confidence, realize that people don't really care about if you're beautiful or not if you're doing runway(cuz you're just a clothes hanger), and you have to be very patient and be able to sit through hours of doing makeup and photoshoots.

Yes. Keeping your weight level, being able to show various emotions on cue, and so on, are harder than you may think.

It is - it is boring, tedious, and you are treated like a manequin very often (and in a way you are, I guess). {shudder}
Peace!
