Every time I even bring up the topic of any sort of piercing besides ears, my mom freaks out and gets mad. I only want a little stud in my nose; i don't see why it's such a big deal.

I know that some people think it looks bad and trashy, but I like it. I don't want to do this for anyone but myself, so why should it matter what everyone else thinks?

I can tell I'm getting old because if it was my daughter, I'd tell her no too. Personally I think guys and girls have enough holes in their head:)

I don't think a litte nose stud looks trashy. And I don't think your Mom does either. But Moms just won't go for it very often, and I don't think it's worth the battle you would have to wage to try to get her to change her mind, when there isn't much of a chance she will. I think the battles you wage with your Mom should be about things that REALLY, TRULY matter. Just MHO, though. Good luck.

As a mother of three young girls and once a young child myself I tell you this. Is best not to do it on your face as my sister once got it done when she was younger and now that she is older she removed it only to have and very ugly hole still in her nose without the earing on her nose so it does look very ugly, it also makes you look trashy( no offense intended) if u want to get something peirce try a belly piercing as long as you have permission from your parents especially if you still living under their roof and they dont approve. if all else fails and you still want it then wait till you become of age and live on your own.

Wait until you're 18 then you can get whatever the F you want pierced. I got my belly button and tongue done and then went home and showed my mom.
She was totally freaked out but nothing she could do about it. That's the best feeling too....to know your old enough to whatever you want without your parents permission. Don't ruin that by bugging the hell out of her until she caves. Trust me on this....you'll thank me later. It's totally worth the wait.

As long as you are living at home it is better to just let these things slide. After all if it's not a big deal then it isn't worth fighting over. Wait until you move out and can pay for it yourself. That's what I did and it saved a world of headache for me.

well it depends on how old you are
i know a lot of people that did stuff like that when they were younger and regret it now that they are older.
having a "little stud" can hold you back from getting jobs
your mom loves you and wants the best for you - that is all

From a guy's perspective (at least this guy) there's nothing more gross than a chick with something stuck in her nose - except maybe chicks with stuff stuck in their tongues. If you're pretty, don't do this to yourself. If you're a fat, ugly cow, it probably won't make much difference. Moo! Either way, don't live under the delusion that you're going to look better with it. You're going to look much uglier with it - might even put you into the fugly category. Good luck.

I had to wait until I was 18... but you can try to tell her that at least it can come out... Unlike tattoo's then threaten to get a tattoo the day you turn 18... LoL I wish I would have thought of it when I was your age...

Why would you want something on your face that always looks dirty? And it will never go away, so that later when you are in your 30's and try and get a non fast food job, it will look weird with makeup in it--just a big hole--yeck! Employers will wonder what kind of judgement someone with a hole in thier face has--and you might not get hired because of it.

Well... tell her the good effects or pro's of nose piercings. Then she might allow you. But dont try to disobey her, your'e in a big mess if you do.
