My man loves to play video games. I do not mind it if he plays, but after 4 hours go by I am already f-en annoyed. Does anyone else feel the same way...or am I just selfish?

like an hour or two doesn't really bother me...but when 4 hours come up then it gets annoying. At the same time I am asking him if we could do something else...all he says is "one more min babe." Ha!

As long as he devotes an adequate amount of time to you as well his hobbies should not be a concern.

I would not break the system like the second answerer suggested.

Unless you want him to break it off with you.

No It's okay for them to play anygame that they want as long as they devote time to other thing's. I mean a guy is a guy and there's no reason why we should tell them what they should do or not just as an example it's like saying to guy's do you like it when a girl shops at the mall for hours'? It's a part of most guy's lives to do what they want and most of the time it's playing a video game or acually being stuck on a sport. I think that like i said before as long as he lives life to the fullest it doesn't matter what and how they do stuff/.

I play games alot... hell I used to be a store manager of a Game Stop. But I also know my limits. If I play while my wife is home its usually about an hour or less. I only play more than that if she is on the internet, doing her scrapbook or one of her other hobbies that way it is kind of fair. But for the most part I play while she is at work.

My ex used to play video games and sometimes he'd have the boys over and have an all out video game festival with beer, snacks and smokes.

He worked hard and needed to unwind and besides, I had my gaming time too.

Just find something you can do while he's playing and if it gets too bad, tell him your going to do some frivolous shopping while he's playing, that should curb his time a bit.

It really depends on the person, some ppl don't mind, others do. My ex-wife hated it when I played, but my gf now actually will play WITH me haha, so it totally depends on the person. Maybe you should have a talk with him and tell him how much it bothers you, maybe he'll decide he would rather play video games than keep you happy.

Unfortunately, I must say that's better than my hubby. Mine plays Warcraft on the computer. He plays from noon Sat. to midnight. Then all day Sunday. He doesn't spend time with my son and I. He gets nasty when I confront him or tell him I'm going to hide his laptop. He says I'll divorce you, secretly I wish he would. Theres nothing I can do. He's lazy and doesn't care about anyone but himself. So me and my son go do things alone. He's the one missing out. Hes a jerk.

I dont think it is that bad or he could be pissed at you. maybe he is getting back at you for going with your freinds shopping or like hagging out he couldent come or he was not invited or maybe you should do something you enjoy while he is playing the video games. so next time he starts to play tell him your going to go do something and he just says ok he might have an addiction.

Sorry I am a dude. My wife hates em. BUT she spends all her time in front of the tv @ the same time watchin Dr. Phil, Oprah, Food network, house hunters.....etc........... SO give him his space and talk nicely about it. Get him on a good day and tell him how much it effects you. I have backed off those video games and so has she, all is good and plenty in humbleville!

I wouldn't say that you are selfish, but I personally think it's awesome. I like to play along. I swear he could NOT beat me in a race car game.Plus, it's a good way to spend some of your time together.
