Not pathetic at all. They have had 2 of their star outfielders hurt until September, Cano has been hurt for a while, and A-Rod is slumping. When Ortiz gets hurt in a couple years and can't come back, then i'll be laughing. By the way, if the Sox are so good, wouldn't they be 15 games in front of the Yankees! Now all I have to do is watch it all fall apart for the Sox.

Very pathetic for that payroll! Couldn't happen to a better team though they're so arrogant, they need to be knocked down a notch! I am a die hard Mets fan and I can't figure who hates the Yanks more Boston or Queens LOL
If it's any consolation though the Mets fans hate the Yankees so much if not more than you guys, we were happy to see that curse broken, Thanks!

I am far from a Yankees fan, but you have to cut them a wee bit a slack since several of those multi millionaires are on the DL. With all due respect, the rest of the league would view you as the pot calling the kettle black.

It only shows that you really can't buy a pennant. If this will accelerate George Steinbrenner's departure, I'm all for it. Alas, it will only serve to accelerate Joe Torre's departure. The Yankees are stuck with Steinbrenner and no farm system worth mentioning.

every year the yanks pay so much and the fans just wanna win win win...the enitre city is spoiled.

Very pathetic- and the rest of the US is loving it, since all of our best players have been plundered by Steinbrenner and the Yanks. Only thing that would make me happier is if they were in last.
