Just what to find out the difference between a 19" and 20" monitor

What I had in mind is that 20/20 vision means reading 20 point front from 20 feet away. So extra inch out of a 19 inch screen means user could read better without sitting closer -- great for graphic artist who sits and looks at the fonts all day long. But I just don't know what the real difference is.

Your operating on the old wives tale of sitting too close to the TV will make you go blind, which is totall BS your eye's adjust to the range depending on where your sitting so if you sit father back you still take in the same info as if you sit closer, you just get more panaramic image farther back.
If you're speaking asymetically i sit about 6-8 feet from my 32" so if you sit 4-5 feet away it'd probably work best!

The difference between a 19 and 20 inch monitor is hardly noticable. It is measured from corner to corner - work it out!

The important measurement for screen position is that that the top of the screen should be level with your eyes when you are sat in front of it.

One thing that will help your eyes are a pair of computer glasses. You can get a good pair for $30 or cheaper. If you're like me and you're sitting in front of a computer all day, your eyes are straining to see the screen by the end of the day. Wearing a pair of these will definitely help with eye fatigue. And if you start wearing them early enough in life, then perhaps you won't experience vision troubles until much later in life due to long-term damage for staring at a monitor all day.

further back the better. have good lighting other than the monitor. also, do not spend over 45 minutes straight looking at the monitor, you have to look long distance once and a while.

LCD panels (most) are actually a bit worse than regular monitors.
they sell these things to like soften the light...I dont have one..maybe I should

I sit about 2' away from mine and I see everything just fine. I suppose I could sit further back if I had a cordless keyboard.
