I'm not of Middle Eastern descent but I think it's unfair to discriminate based on looks, religion etc.
I have friends who have that "look" and all of them have nothing to do with those extremists, they happen to have been born American and just have that "look", whether they are christian, or of mixed heritage and have nothing in common other than their perceived appearance. To better educate myself I always ask about their lives, how and where they grew up...you'll be surprised how different their lives are from the fundamentalist that we hear about!
