Yes, the climate could. In a drier climate it will make the wood dry and in a more humid it can effect it there as well. If it is electric, the components can be affected more by the humidity.

NRA is correct. Also, if you are outside in the cold with the guitar (in the case) and go inside, you should unlatch case but not open it for about 1/2 hour or the temperature change may cause "checking" on the finish. And a very dry climate can dry out the wood also.

It certainly does..........keep it in a case (when not playing it:) .....heat and cold move the wood....If you live in a dry climate they have a tube humidifier you buy to put in your case to help...never...never let it go through quick temp changes, I could tell you more but I have to go now...send me a message on my site if you need help, Ill be glad to do it.

Sure can. Moist hot weather is not great for a guitar, neither is too dry air. That's why they make humidifiers for guitar cases , and de-humidifiers.
