Like the others mentioned before, The Woodlands and or Atascocita are the best places to live. The other town's also include Humble, which you are asking about and Kingwood. Behind the scences there is just way to much politics invloved with Kingwood and Humble. On the outside, Humble is the oldest city/town so of course there will be a lot of no-updated buildings and franchises. Kingwood was built as I guess you can say a "sister" town to The Woodlands, but being that The Woolands have more land to them, the buildings, franchises, shops ect are more updated and beautiful. The Woodlands is also one of the best mall's to go too. There is a mall in Humble called Deerbrook mall and it includes a cinema. Its not bad, but its just the typical 2 stoy mall, with the basics for shopping. Humble is defiantly coming up to a better town, slowly. I mean slowly because Atascocita, Humble, Spring and other little parts in between are coming up a bit faster.
1960 though runs you to the Dayton, Liberty area on the East side of 59 and can go all the way through I-45 to I "think" webster. But I do know that in driving time its about a 2 hour drive.
Anyways, here are a few websites to visit to get more detailed information about Humble, TX ...

I am a little west of there in a place called Spring. Staying north of 1960 will keep you in some fairly nice areas, with wooded lots and things like that. The Humble area is not too bad and as for Houston, it is pretty good. Go a little more north and to the west (I guess that would be known as Northwest) just on the other side of I-45 and you hit the Woodlands, which in my estimation is the nicest area in Houston for what it cost. Houses are nice and from the mall area at the Woodlands Parkway off of I-45 to Port O Fino (i"m positive I spelled this wrong) a few exits up, you have all the restaurants and shopping and entertainment you could want.

I don't like Humble, it's junky looking and the only thing really keeping it alive is it's proximity to Hwy 59. Honestly, I live west of Humble in Spring and whenever I need to go over there, I'm amazed at the amount of trash everywhere. So depending on why you're asking, that's an honest beginning.

That area is near Humble/ Atascosita/ Kingwood.Kingwood is actually now part of Houston. There are a lot of things to do in this area. There is a mall and lots of restaurants. The area is growing really fast. What information are you looking for exactly?
