My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a while now and we finally thought that our wishes have come true because I was getting all the symptoms of pregnancy until I got my period. My breasts have been really sore (they NEVER get that way with my period) I don't have cramps nerly as bad as what I normally do with my period, and I have been feeling very tired and nauseous. Please help! I know that you aren't suppposed to have your period but I thought that I have heard of people still getting them. Could I be????

Yes, I do believe it is possible to still have your period even if you may be pregnant. I believe the best thing that you can do if you think that you may be pregnant is to have a blood test done that will show for sure if you are or not. My mom actually had her period with me all through-out her preganacy and she didn't find out that she was pregnant until her 5th month because of her period. Just don't stress out about it take one day at a time and make your self an appointment with your favorite OBGYN! Good Luck!

Yes you can be pregnant and get a period. It happened to a girl at my college who found out she was having a baby as it was being delivered.

But you can also want a baby so badly that you get symptoms of being pregnant even when you are not.

Lastly, you can become pregnant but miscarry in a way that resembles a period, although it will usually be heavier with more cramping.

I experienced this last situation. I had a positive stick and even after I miscarried, I still tested myself to see if just maybe I could still be pregnant. In my case it was harder to accept reality and easier to wish.

Your question brings back memories of all of the ups and downs while trying to get pregnant. Good luck. Everything always works out one way or another.

It isn't possible to have a period during pregnancy but it is possible to be pregnant and have adbnormal bleeding. Take a test, if it's positive head straight to the ER or your doc. However, the more likely thing is that you are not pregnant, the test will be negative, because all the symptoms you listed can be due to PMS as well. ALL OF THE OTHER POSTERS SEEM TO THINK IT IS POSSIBLE BUT IT JUST ISN'T...PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THIS WEBSITE!!!!

Yes, you can get your period up to 3mths after conception. The only way to really know is wait 2 - 3 weeks and take a pregnancy test. You should speak w/ you Gyno and see if they can help you with conceiving. Did you ever try the ovulation predictor tests? They really help, you can tell what time of the month is best to do it to increase your chances more :) Good luck! Children are the best.

Some women have their period the first month, however it should be a light period and very short. The symptoms you have are also pre menstrual symptoms and your body can change at any time, maybe you can test after you are done with your period and see, but I doubt it you are if you had your period. Good luck though.

Yes, it is possible to have your period during pregnancy. Usually it only lasts a month or two, although sometimes you can have your period throughout the entire pregnancy, but this is very rare.

Yes, it's possible. I would hightly suggest either taking a HPT or going to your doctor's for a blood test to confirm, because if you are pregnant you need prenatal care ASAP.
