cliques is just a fancy word for being part of a group that into the same things you are. should other cliques criticize each other for their beliefs and interests. NO. but thats what happens. I think people are only labeling cliques cuz thats just what they do. people need to put labels on things to organize it in their minds so they know where to identify it with. If i was a "punk" for example I'd hang out with people that enjoy the same as me. Those people would probably feel like they are able to fit in somewhere. but.. could a person who is a jock also hang out with a person whose a gothic? not when your in high school probably. but most kids in high school will grow up to realize that as you get older none of that really matters. Yes, there is still cliques as you grow older.. the social ladder type cliques. but you might realize though, only what matters is what you think. Surrounding yourself with true friends with the same interest.

It's wierd, I've never dealt with cliques. I suppose there are kind of outlines and bondrys, but in my school, everything bleeds into something else. Most goths/skater are prep and/or jocks. The jocks are all friends with the smart people(they aren't really nerds, just academics) the acedemics are connected to the skaters, and we all see Emo as poser. Works well for everybody.

No. Cliques are just another way of labelling people, and to make fun of people. Cliques are stupid. Why should you hang out with people who are just like you (hypothetically speaking)? The friends I have are all very different.

I am a teen in highschool.Personally I dont agree with cliques.I mean serisouly,if all of us would spent less time fighting, and more time getting to know eachother,we would all be friends. We just need to give everybody a chance. We are all the same,we just want to feel better than everyone else.Thats why we created cliques.Everybody is equal, nobody is perfect.WE SHOULD KNOW THIS BY NOW!!

I think "cliques" are fun ! You have a group of friends with whom you can identify. It doesn't mean that you have to treat other people mean if they are not part of your "clique". It just means that you know what you like and enjoy the validation.
There are some people (kinda like me) who never fit in with a group. I didn't care. I was marching to the sound of my own distant drummer. ....lol........ Have Fun !

Highschool cliques, stereotypes and groups of that sort of things are great for some people....but its not my thing.

Id'd rather just be my weird self.

I read this somewhere...
"Those who follow the crowd...often get lost in it..."
Its so true.

"You non-conformists are all alike." - a t-shirt of mine... although it is a black t-shirt. LOL

Just be your weird self. That's all I've ever been. Sometimes prep, sometimes punk, sometimes goth, skater, etc... whatever the mood is.

"You are all individuals!" Brian
"Yes, we are all individuals!" Crowd in unison

No. No, no, NO!!!!

Part of the problem is I break the rules of every single one.

I'm a popular nerd who wears all black except when I feel like going shopping in A.E. Classify me, if you dare!
