I honestly believe this is a much deeper subject than how fast bearshare shows you as d\l. I have gotten up to 500k\s before so thats a song in about 15 seconds. if you want to know a more reliable definition of how fast your connection is go to www.dslreports.com

ur download speed is not 16 mega bytes per seccond.
maybe kilobytes, but not mb,
a t1 connection, extreemly fast, is only 1.544 mb per sec,
u need to recalculate ur speed, go download something and watch what it says.

The size of your download speed doesn't matter. It is the quality of your download that matters.
