You are more than big enough to ride almost any bike out there. But for learning on, you should be able to put both feet square on the ground, reach the bars, and the bike should have a nice, easy to control powerband.

A 600cc supersport is a lousy choice for a first bike. Sportbikes are tall and have too much power on tap for a beginner. A lot of weird things can happen very quickly when you have 100 HP between your legs and it takes experience to get that kind of power back under control before you crash.

A Honda Rebel is a great starter, Ninja 250 is supposed to be good. Any standard streeetbike under 500cc would be a decent choice.

If you are just starting, plan on riding your first bike for a season or two and then selling it. Also plan on dropping it (not necessarily crashing, but it will fall) at least once. Knowing that, it's not smart to get the newest, sexiest, fastest thing out there. Just something simple that's easy to handle while you develop your basic skills.

Something that's close to the ground and has an electric starter.

I ride a Yamaha Virago 700. Mine is pretty old, I don't know if they make them any more. It'd be the right size for you.

Generally, sit on the motorcycle. You need to be able to put both feet flat on the ground comfortably.

With practice - lots of practice - a person that size can learn to handle the biggest hawg. If I were just starting out, I'd try something in the 650 - 750 range. Don't forget your brain bucket (helmet)!

The Honda Magna would be an excellent fit. It's got a 28" seat height, weighs only 500 or so, and it's plenty fast, but not scary-fast.

As long as you can touch the floor with BOTH feet and you can reach the bars, you can ride anything. Remember, you can always adjust bars, seats, pedals and often suspension. So get what you want and feel comfortable on.

depends on what you are going to do and how much you want to spend

400-600cc should be plenty, go to a 600 or a 750 if you plan to double up ride though or you might be sad
