Who would like to come with me, move to an island and start our own country?

Question

I thnk we should do this so we could be free from all the taxes and rediculus(sp) laws of the United States. I think we should start a government and culture similar to the Roman Empire. I would personnaly love to go and sit in the public baths for a while. Anyone interested?

Wait....how do we keep order? You'll need laws. Who is going to make them....you? We'd have to vote.....form a democracy. We need some kind of foundation to base our laws on......hey, I know.....a constitution. Great......but who's going to fish or hunt for our food. Some people are lazy. Maybe we could pay people to fish/hunt. But how are we going to pay them? I got it....everyone can chip in a small amount this way we can pay those who want to hunt/fish. This small amount....we'll call it a, um, a tax.

God Bless the United States of America......the greatest country in the world...........it doesn't get any better. Maybe you should pack and get in a boat to find your island....some of us are happy here.

See how the 17 days go, and keep your head on straight, lust is like a new car great at first but later you notice all the little things that tick you off, love is more of the car that has always been there for you no matter what and you don't mind all the little dings and scratches on it but you know that it will be dependable and there for you down the road. My main concerns about this is one, have your own plans. hotel room, travel accommodations, plan a place to meet in a highly public area, do not have him pick you up at the airport, have a friend from home to check up with and call everyday to make sure everything is right and you're still alive. Always have a plan and think with your head and your heart will stay beating enough to fall in love. Predators especially from other countries use media and tempt intellectuals with the promise of a future and a dream only to end up raped or beat into submission. Look at this with a clear thought process and approach with caution, even though you have been talking with him for years you DON'T really know who he really is when he logs off. Hope this helps you think straight and not fall victim of a predators game. You really sound like a sweet person but you are way to open and easy of a target to fall prey to. There is no where this is possible. I'm glad of it because the US alreadu is like a Roman Empire and another would be just horrible. Fix the problems of United States, and have public baths there if that's what you want.

Only if we didn't do the bloody gladatorial combat to the death, the many wars of conquest, the corrupt and useless Senate, the ostentatious adoration of Caesar, and the worship of pagan gods. It might also be good to not have 10% or more of our population be slaves like Rome had. The US has a lot of dumb taxes and laws, but I think Rome was worse.
