I'm a girl and i used to be really self concious around boys about my weight. but i'm not anymore since i started working out. why is it that most girls are so worried about what guys think of their body and try to get their attention by their body? why do some guys care more about how the woman is shaped than her personality?

We are self concious beacuse we are afraid that they won't like us and will go for a skinny barbie doll girl. They go for looks more than character because they find a pretty face and decide they want them because of their looks. The truth is if they love you'll then they won't care what you look like. Now some girls will show off their bodies because they know that some men like that. Not all guys are like that though. You want the kind of guy who will love you for you. Because if he doesn't, the second someone prettier comes along, he will leave you for her and then her for someone else and so on. It's good to get in shape, but just remember to find out if they'll still love you no matter what happens to your body. You want them to love you, not your body.

Well some of the reasons you already know but some girls think this or hear these:
1. All guys don't like fat chicks. (not true)
2. Guys notice what you look like first before they get to actually know you.
3. First impressions.
Some men are just perverted and other men discriminate is probably why some of them are more concerned with body figure than personality. In general some men just need to know more than what the eye sees itself at first glance.

For the same reason that girls care so much about how a man looks. That is the first thing that they see. If there is no physical attraction more time is required to really get to know the other person.
It's the same for both sexes. If it isn't then why do all of the ugly, dorky, nerdy kids stay home from the prom?

That is a good question. When girls are teens they always feel very self concious. I guess guys feel that they have to date a girl with a great body( which is not what is important.) It is how the girl acts. Looks are just a bonus.

but a little more is that men choose and women are chosen
well that's how it used to be, but you got to believe in evolution to buy that
but honestly you have to be physically attracted to someone first to get to know their personality later, and since most people meet in person first that will set the pace right then and there
very rarely do people meet with personality first, i can think of only a few situations, and then you gotta see to believe it they are who they say they are

unfortunately, it's just the way both genders are. I think you have to have something to be self-conscious about, be it your weight, your height, any scars on your body, an amputated limb (I'm not joking by giving this as an example)...
It's just what makes us human. And we usually don't "get" the first person we set our eyes on. But if we're lucky, someone may come around who accepts us for our flaws... however visible or invisible they may be to others.

gurls are worried aboutt heir body Y? coz their attraction is their body and their face it is not just gurls see guyz are not so worried about their face or...they more like to have a big car a cool house the latest version ov cellphones cool computers Y? coz when a gurl sees a guy driving a cool car no matter the guy is a human being or a monky gurls would get attract by that guy ...ol gurls do feel so proud when they BF are so rich with a very cool car....so that's y guyz are so worried about car n stuff....but if a gurl got a very cool car but she is fugly no guys like that coz beauty is for gurlz

That's how the media has shaped everyone's minds over the last few decades... They put out the people in movies and TV that we all know and love and force them into a bubble that we all can't fit into... Our men dream about them, and so we want to look like them. We are shaped by what we surround ourselves with.

Some not all guys are like that, girls love been told that there pretty if there not been told there pretty at home, Most guy would rather be with a pretty girl to her off to there friends and sometimes they would even care if you your sweet as long as you look good they'll love you to death, no matter if you treat them bad
