No it is not. I have been told by my doctor to avoid it because it messes up the balance of 'good' bacteria down there which are used to eliminate odors. If I were you I wouldn't try it.

Douching is necessary because it helps to clean the inner part of the vagina and keeps the vagina as germ free. Never use vinegar and water because it may irritate the inner walls in case of some infections. If nothing available, mild dettol water should be a better choice and finally Luke warm water can also be used. If you have Margosa tree (Neem) around, boil the cleaned leaves in water and use the Luke warm water for douching. Take care and be in good health.

"Is douching safe?
Most doctors and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) suggest that women steer clear of douching. All healthy vaginas contain some bacteria and other organisms called the vaginal flora. The normal acidity of the vagina keeps the amount of bacteria down. But douching can change this delicate balance. This may make a woman more prone to vaginal infections. Plus, douching can spread existing vaginal infections up into the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.
What are the dangers linked to douching?
Research shows that women who douche regularly have more health problems than women who do not. Doctors are still unsure whether douching causes these problems. Douching may simply be more common in groups of women who tend to have these issues. Health problems linked to douching include"

Douching is NOT necessary as per many Doctors I have seen. However, if you feel you need to, like after your mentsraul cycle (period) good old white vinegar and water is best. You can purchase it pre-mixed by Summers Eve.

The vagina is a self cleaning organ. You shouldn't need to ever flush the inside of it with anything. It can actually strip the vaginal canal of important bacterial flora and irritate the mucous membranes which can be very uncomfortable. Just wash yourself on the outside with soap and warm water and that should be good. If you notice a strong unusual odor you might want to consult your doctor because you could have an underlying condition.

No it is not. Our vagina self-cleans itself so we don't need stuff like that. That might cause other health issues. If you feel that u stink down there, then use cotton panties, or try using thin pantiliners to obsorb the sweat and odor. And when u take a bath/shower dont go clean allllllll the way inside now, just the basic outside and in and around the lips area. Like i said, we have a natural self-cleaning system. So no need to add more chemical and bacteria.

No, douching is not necessary....all it does is push the bad bacteria back up into U (if there is any bad bacteria). That body part takes care of itself it does not need any help. If you douche you also screw up the balance in ph or whatever its called.

I hope that the number of responses will help reassure you. Our culture tries to teach us our natural vaginal scent is an awful odor we should flee from or hide using products as varied and silly as deodarant tampons, douches, and vaginal deodarant spray. In all cases, your vagina is happier and healthier left alone. And, you save money and have a natural normal scent.

You are better off NOT doing that. You are born with natural cleaning aids inside of your body (of course, clean yourself dah) but by douching, you are destroying the natural cleaning process. It's kind of like - if you keep taking too many antibiotics, you become immune to them. It's the same kind of thing. I promise if you ask an OB/GYN dr. this, he'll agree with me.
