if you are in the states the law will protect you from it but it could be hard to get a job because of it.
if you are't showing yet, don't even worry about it apply for all the jobs you want, and do the same thing you would do if you weren't pregnant, the employer should't ask if you are pregnant and you don't have to tel them.
the sooner the better.
good luck and congratulations.

First dont stress, it's gonna be ok. You'll find a job. I think first you should go down to the Department of Human Services so you can get a Medical card for yourself so you can continue to get medical care while your pregnant. I dont know if you have insurance. At least this way you can be taken care of that way. It's pretty hard to get a decent job these days, but you dont have to worry about being pregnant, a lot of companies will hire you, As long as your not about to drop that baby any day now. Just take it easy, get those resumes out there. Im sure you're stressing but it's not good for you. You just need some time. The right job will come along. Congrats on the baby!!!

I agree, you should not mention your pregnancy until after they offer you a job. If you were further along, I would suggest temps, but you are so early in your pregnancy there is no reason you shouldn't be able to find a good job. If you are lucky, you might even find one that will offer maternity leave even though you have been at the job less than a year.

I got a job when I was pregnant with my first child, and I am also looking for a job right now and just found out I am pregnant. My plan is to try to sell myself as much as possible, and not tell them I am pregnant until I am hired. It is considerate to let them know as soon as possible though after they hire you, so they can make plans for your absence.

Good luck, and try not to worry!

Calm.....
It's okay.
Number one, companies cannot discriminate against pregnant woman. Let one of them do it to you. Then sue them and make way more money than working a full year.
Besides, you have almost 40 weeks to find another one. Don't get discouraged just because you can't find one "right now". Keep looking. It'll come. Don't worry. Start to worry when you are about 12 weeks away from labor (for insurance sake). For now, just relax and continue sending out resumes.

Do you have your medical insurance through your husband's job? If so, you'll be OK...just go to Kelly or some other temp agency and look for work there. If you go for a full-time, permanent job, the only problem is, you have to be at your job for one year to qualify for FMLA leave after your baby is born. Otherwise, they're not obligated to hold you job for you for 3 months.

How far along are u? Sometimes pregnant women are a liability and even tho u think of it as discrimination it really isnt, it all depends on the kind of work u are looking for.

employers can't use pregnancy as grounds for hiring or not hiring anyone... have you considered getting more schooling so that you have the education to get the kind of job you'll need once the baby comes?

The temp agency sounds like a nice solution. And get the babys father to step up to the plate

When looking for a job don't tell them you're pregnant. Even though it's illegal for them to turn you down because you're pregnant, they'll do it and they'll make up another reason not to hire you.
