Cover the stain with a lot of baby powder and let it sit there overnight. It should soak up the oil. Then the next day, just brush off the baby powder. If any remains, just spot clean it.

I've used the baby powder method before but I didn't add any water. I just sprinkled baby powder all over the oily stain, let it sit over night, and brushed it off. I've heard that rubbing salt into the stain will also work, but I've never tried it to remove oils.

Try Dawn dishwashing detergent, but try it in a a very small spot. Call a dry cleaner first to see if they can do it, but if not, resort to the Dawn. It breaks grease/oil up.

try soaking the spot in Resolve. You will have to soak it a few times and then try Woolite to finish. It will help greatly. Did the same thing on a satin covered down blanket lol.

if you just take a dab of vinegar straight to the stain and rub vigorously and let it dry you should see some results.
