well lets start with considerations. Do you want to game? Are you going to be using graphically intense programs? Are u just trying to make windows look better? Do you have AGP or PCIE?
Here is if you have pcie. Ok if you want to game, low range cards start with the nvidia 6600 then mid range 6800/7600 and high range 7900.
if you prefer ATI then here we go low range x800-x850 mid range x1600 high range x1900.
If you have AGP
nvidia-low range still the 6600, mid range the 7600gs, and high range the 7800gs
ATI-low range 9800, mid range x1300, high range x1600

hope this helps

There are loads! From around £20 to £500 + . I find ATI good. Do you want TV out? Check everything that you need - some will for example put a different window on 2 monitors. I want one with open GL, whatever that is. Then you have to decide where it's going pci slot or t hat other one that only graphics cards go in that I can't remember! lol AGP is something like that.... It's not hard to put one in. You may have to install drivers. You may also have to connect it to your sound card. The connection to your sound card is important if it has a built in TV tuner. But you can get a DVB stick cheap now for TV. I have a new one that's great. I had the late movie on screen, a chat room and MSN messenger last night - on my laptop lying in bed. Need a bigger bed though! lol

PCI
AGP
PCI Express
it depends on what your PC will take
what you want to do with it

ATI and Radon are quite good all round cards get at least a 128mb card for normal use and 256mb upwards for gaming

if you pc is not a new model then probably AGP open the case and you should see where your graphics card is look at the slot is there a button at the back of it.
if so its AGP if it matches the rest of the slots it's PCI

Check your Motherboard manual to see wether you got PCI-E or AGP slot.

Think about what you need out of the card - Gaming, Graphics (designer), General.

Then do search with your needs, eg AGP graphics £50.
Do research on your results to see other peoples' reviews/views about each cards.

that is achievable the Compaq's power grant is a personalised sort element (those smaller prebuilt machines each and each and every each and every so often use them), in spite of the actual incontrovertible truth that it's going to journey a person-pleasant ATX potential grant or microATX PSU.. Open the case and degree the flexibility provide, then bypass surfing and search for one it extremely is an similar in length (must be surely a sprint longer, regardless of the indisputable fact that the difficulty it mounts interior the shrink decrease back might want to be the equivalent length) you want to apply 2 power promises, in spite of the actual incontrovertible truth that consisting of you suggested, one ought to ought to sit outside of your case.
