For those women out there that have had an affair with a married man, what was the inducement?

I was going through some stuff in my own life and it was an easy way of spending time with someone who wouldn't be around all the time and wouldn't call all the time.

He was 'safe' to flirt with...he's married, nothings going to happen. The flirting went back and forth, and all of the sudden several months later, we realized we were in love. We had an emotional affair. I broke up w/him about 3 years ago, and still think of him often. I miss the friendship we shared, but it was just too intense.

The inducement for me, I was also married, was that my marriage was missing so much that I was trying to fill that void without leaving the marriage. Getting involved with someone else who was married was safe, because he had as much to lose as I did.

Actually it appears that a relationship on the side with a married man is safe because of the none committal appearance but it sure messes up your brain a whole lot......I would suggest that you try to resolve the issues that you have with your mate...if that is not possible...move on
