what would you give that you have? An insight? Some inner peace? Any powerful emotion? This "gift" is a non-material gift and what you decide on has to go to every single human being alive today---which means your loved ones will receive it as well as those who you may hate in this world.

this "gift" doesn't have to be positive in nature.

Thanks so far for the answers. I added that everyone receives this so it's tough for me. Would I freely give something lasting & beautiful to those who I dislike and how about that person who nearly ran me off the road or the person who kills without regard? Or child molesters? Or politicians? It's easy for me to want to give understanding or love or whateva to the people I love but knowing everyone will receive this makes it hard. Is it hard to choose?

I would probably give compassion, Linty. I have always been very compassionate, perhaps even too much so at times, but I believe it allows me to have a better understanding of the world around me. I also think that it keeps me from developing a cynical attitude. I want to believe that it also keeps me from hardening my heart to the suffering of others, and to all of the horrendous tragedies that take place in the world today.
Many would argue that being too compassionate is a bad thing, and I would be the first to say that it can certainly lead to much inner turmoil, but ultimately, I want to believe that it keeps me human and also very grounded. I honestly believe that if more people had compassion, that they would think twice before doing the evil things that they currently do in this world.
I'm sure that my thinking is much too simplistic here, but I believe it nonetheless. :) A really great question, Linty!!

It is possible to give everyone on the planet an everlasting gift. Its a book called the Bible. Study it, don't 'read' it.
Enjoy Heaven!

It would be humility... Think about it for a sec. When a person is humble, he or she puts other people first (because of the lack of self-importance embeded in humility). Therefore, say good bye to wars, hunger, poverty, and the rest of human conflicts.

I pray for people that I've never met. Sometimes I pray for the whole world. I think that specific prayers are good too, but sometimes I do pray for the world.

the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is free (He already paid the price) and EVERYONE can have it...even mine own enemies and those who would come to tear up my flesh!
