I haven't watched it, but I've read it. I can't really find any places to learn go here though!

Not really. It didn't really show the audience on how to play but just the moves charas made when playing go. Those who already have a base in go would probably understand the whole playing concept. I wish it'd be more like Slamdunk or POT in explaining some of the moves.

Overall, the anime is okay. Some might be influenced to play go after watching. But I guess I'm not one of them ^_^||

To say the truth, no, it didn't. & besides i already knew how to play Go before i read/saw Hikaru no Go, and it didn't help me improve my skills at all, though by watching that anime, it did influenced me to try harder... yet i always loose to my dad... all the time...

Actually, no, it didn't. It did, however, influence me to play more often and better. Since watching the anime, I have improved from a 25 kyu to solving 1 and 2 dan go problems.
