As of yet, i have seen that most male FF fans prefure 7 and most female ff fans prefure 8 any guess as to why?

I'm a girl and FF7 is my favorite also. I really liked FF8, however 7 had a lot more humor in it. Men probably didn't like FF8 as much because the story line seemed much more like a love story (taming the rebel type thing). Some girls might find the humor in 7 a bit crude, too.

Tactics... I really got into the Job system more then anything else and the story was pretty cool, though I had to go through it a second time to understand everything going on.
As for the numbered games, I liked 6 the best. Probably for nostalgia reasons, but I liked getting more and more glimpses at everyone's background story and getting all the secrets.
And I'm male.

FF8, because I thought Squall was hot. Like my friend, she loves Zell to death. But then again, we both a a love thing going on for Reno in FF7, but FF8 is better in my opinion since FF7 is just so much time consuming and makes my eyes hurt after awhile. (I still haven't beaten ff7) But you also have to put in the fact that FF8 is more of a love story, so like guys might like FF7 better, since it's less lovey dovey.

i liked ff7 the most out of any game i have ever played because of the story line, always changing, never boring. i wish they would redo it so the graphics were better.
