Can stone ust be used for fence posts instead of using sonotube and cement?

Pea gravel works very well. I wouldn't use anything else. No sonotube, no concrete!

depending on the fencing material.sonotube is usually for posts that are gonna support weight.if you are just installing stockade fence,burying the posts a few feet should be fine.you could also set in cement

Yes pea gravel is best, some cities have codes on that though.

If you have any frost then the answer is no
