I have taken the medicine for yeast infections before.. but I feel like I am just getting one. If I eat yogurt, will it cure it? I don't want to have to take the monistat.

Don't eat it. Put it on the yeast infection, if you know what I mean.

If you are really concerned about it...yogurt will not cure it...

So you say that you think you have a yeast infection. Are you getting sick with cramps or stomach pains, throwing up or rashes after you eat breads and stuff that you bake yeast into?? If so ask a dotor about celiac. Get checked for to. There is a simple blood test that you can ask for. i have celiac and It is a wheat and gluten allergy.

i'm sorry if this no help to you...good luck though...=)

(by the way...you don't have to take medicine for this...just eat Wheat free. just read the stuff on these websites for info about it.)

A vagina has all kind of bacteria growing in it. When your hormones are out of whack, one of them overgrows, causing irritation. Eating yogurt (not putting it on...*sigh*) helps your body to grow the -other- kind of bacteria, which stabilizes the rest of the bacteria in your vagina (like that other chick said). If it does cure it, it will take a REALLY long time. You can go to the store and buy Monistat for it. They have a daytime treatment now, so you dont have to wait to use it before you go to sleep. If you have frequent yeast infections, eat yogurt (about a cup a day) and that should help. Make sure to wear clean, plain cotton panties. I heard that thongs can contribute to yeast infections. When you go to the bathroom, wipe from front to back so you dont spread germs to your vagina. Good luck!!

When I had a yeast infection I ate yogurt once a day and it went away. You could also take acidopholis (I think I spelled it wrong) which you can get from your local health food store. Preferably the ones in the refrigerator, they are better for you.

no, it will help prevent them though. if you have insurance, go to the doctor and see if he will prescribe the medication that comes in pill form.

I just read the person before me answer. DON"T PUT IT DIRECTLY TO THE AREA!!!!! It most likely has sugar and that CAUSES yeast infections. The cultures flow through your urine to prevent yeast infections.

It can help it but prolly wont cure it. Have you tried going to the doctor and getting Diflucan. Its a one time pill you take orally and it gets rid of yeast infections!!

actually i don't believe this works you might want to get some vagisil or another type of feminine itch creme. you can have an itch without it being yeast and you can always do the one dose monistat if you are catching it before it gets out of hand

Yogurt will help, but as a dietary change. Don't eat a cup of yogurt and expect a cure! For God's sake, go get the monistat...for your sake and EVERYONE ELSE around you! PHEW!
