The Breakfast Club is awesome. As is The Princess Bride. But for the 80's Raiders of the lost ark rules all.

Oh yeah, Weird Science is awesome. But I watch Sixteen Candles every time it's on cable, which is like, every other week. Pretty In Pink is another one I ALWAYS watch. I love Ducky. My girlfriends and I still use a couple of his lines and we're in our 30s. (Oh my god, did I just say that?) I absolutely love James Spader. He plays a dik so well. Whatever happened to Andrew McCarthy?

Back to the Future I & II (and, of course, Back to the Future III, 1990)
Top Gun
The Outsiders (yeah, I guess this wasn't a really famous movie or anything, but The Outsiders - The Complete Novel DVD was really good and true to the classic book)

The Breakfast Club, or the Goonies.

The Breakfast Club is really good, but if you are looking for a mystery/comedy, a really good movie is Clue which is a movie that is based on the game.
