I am new to Diablo 2. I find myself having difficulty in Hell, with the Dark hunters, moon clan and all that. I am level 41. Can any one help?

The difficulty curve in D2 makes a HUGE vertical leap when you move from normal to hell difficulty (and again when you move to nightmare). The only thing to do is hang around areas where you know you're relatively safe, and buff your experience. If you've got any magic find items, this is a good time to use them. It improves your chances of finding good loot while your biding your time for more XP. You might also want to check out some of the strategy guides available online. (The link below has some pretty good ones.) Diablo 2 seems all hack and slash, but an effective strategy makes a huge difference. The strategy that's best for you will depend on your character, gear, skill choices, and personal pplay style.

Just wait until you get to Nightmare level. My level 81 barbarian STILL gets his butt handed to him.

We need more information. How did you distribute your stat and skill points? And what character do you play?
However, level 41 for Act I in Hell mode is very little. You should be somewhere between 50-60. Go back to the final acts of Nightmare level and hang around there till you gain more experience.

Yeah you will... my Level 77 Sorc, still has minor problems with some things due to magic resistance.. at level 41 do Baal runs until level 60ish. You should be good from there. then get rushed in hell all the way to baal and just sit in there while they attack until you can contribute and you will be level 70ish-80ish in no time.
