everyone has an accent no matter where your from. just read up on this in this book. its just that you get used ot your own accent and other people around speak the same way. so you think its normal.
but just travel to another state or country! and you'll definitely notice the difference. just go to england and watch yourself stick out like a sour thumb and get nasty looks.
my accent is Californian baby! totally have it no matter how much i try to hide it. ya hear!

I'm a Yankee living in the Deep South. Everyone tells me I have a "Yank" accent, but really, I just speak American Standard English (like what most journalists use).

Yes, a funny Wisconsin accent (think of the movie Fargo). I just moved to California and it's quite embarrassing. I'm hoping I can shake it soon.

I am a Midwesterner and therefore have no accent (I believe) but last year when I went to MO people said I have a Chicago accent.

I don't think so but have been told by a few people I do. Told I have a country accent or laid back whats that? Does that mean I sound like a redneck? LOL I do live in a "hicktown"

I am Puertorican so I have a Latino accent. I can also do a British accent as my boyfriend is British and I got it from him lol.

Only Minnesotans and New Englanders have accents. Cajuns do have a pleasant drawl, but only when they're extremely angry.

there is one exception to this Nebraskans our "accent" is barely noticeable any ware in the mid west
